Januar*. Tickets sind noch erh\u00e4ltlich bei<a href=\"http:\/\/www.autosportinternational.com\/\">www.autosportinternational.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Samstag 16<sup>th<\/sup> Januar \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Damon Hill OBE ist der Star von <em>Autosport International<\/em> dieses Wochenende, wo er den 20.<sup>th<\/sup>Jahrestag seines Gewinns der F1-Weltmeisterschaft 1996 vor Tausenden von Fans im NEC.<\/p>\n<p>Hill, der auf der <em>Autosport International<\/em> heute und Sonntag 17<sup>th<\/sup> Januar, er\u00f6ffnete heute Morgen gemeinsam mit Petter Solberg die NEC-Veranstaltung und durchschnitt das Band vor vielen begeisterten Motorsportfans.<\/p>\n<p>Auf dem Williams-Stand gab es ein Wiedersehen mit seinem Williams FW18-Rennwagen - demselben Auto, mit dem er 1996 den Sieg errang und das zu den erfolgreichsten F1-Autos der Geschichte z\u00e4hlt. Hill wird auf der Messe <em>Autosport<\/em> B\u00fchne und wird am Samstag und Sonntag mehrere Autogrammstunden geben.<\/p>\n<p>Hill, einer der beliebtesten britischen Rennfahrer aller Zeiten, erhielt 1992 seinen ersten Formel-1-Rennsitz bei Brabham, aber es ist Williams, mit dem er am meisten in Verbindung gebracht wird - und das dank eines einzigartigen Williams-Features,<em>Autosport International\u00a0<\/em>wird Hill nicht nur mit seinem Siegerauto, sondern auch mit einigen wichtigen Mitgliedern des Williams-Teams wieder zusammenbringen.<\/p>\n<p>Nachdem er 1991 f\u00fcr den ber\u00fchmten Rennstall von Sir Frank Williams getestet hatte, erhielt Hill 1993 einen Rennsitz an der Seite von Alain Prost, bevor er 1994 an der Seite von Ayrton Senna fuhr, jenem schicksalhaften Jahr, in dem der Brasilianer beim Gro\u00dfen Preis von San Marino ums Leben kam.<\/p>\n<p>Hills Duelle mit Michael Schumacher in derselben Saison sind legend\u00e4r - vor allem der ber\u00fcchtigte Unfall in Adelaide, bei dem er um nur einen Punkt den Titel verlor -, aber alles kam 1996 zusammen, als Hill beim Gro\u00dfen Preis von Japan Weltmeister wurde.<\/p>\n<p>In dieser Saison holte der Williams-Renault FW18 12 Siege aus 16 Rennen (acht in Hills H\u00e4nden, vier in denen seines Teamkollegen Jacques Villeneuve) und ist statistisch gesehen das erfolgreichste Williams-Formel-1-Auto aller Zeiten, das 175 Punkte sammelte - die meisten in einer Saison nach dem alten Punktesystem.<\/p>\n<p>Besucher von <em>Autosport International<\/em> werden den FW18 aus n\u00e4chster N\u00e4he sehen k\u00f6nnen - und eine Vielzahl anderer Williams F1-Autos aus den vergangenen vier Jahrzehnten. Neben zahlreichen noch nie zuvor gezeigten Exponaten wird der Schwerpunkt auf einer neu gestalteten Autosport-B\u00fchne liegen.
