Benannt nach dem ber\u00fchmten Achtzylindermotor unter der handgefertigten Karosserie des Wagens, wurden \u00fcber 6.000 Plus 8<\/a> Modelle wurden in den letzten 50 Jahren in Morgans Haus in der Pickersleigh Road gebaut.<\/p>\n

Der in Familienbesitz befindliche Hersteller von ma\u00dfgeschneiderten Sportwagen wird 50 Sondermodelle produzieren, die jeweils \u00fcber seine bestehenden H\u00e4ndlernetz<\/a>. Das Plus 8 50th<\/sup> Jubil\u00e4umsedition wird ein echter V8-getriebener Vollbl\u00fcter sein, eine Hommage an das Modell, das seit 50 Jahren Morgans Kr\u00f6nungsfahrzeug ist.<\/p>\n

\"Oldtimer-PR:<\/p>\n

Die von Morgan ver\u00f6ffentlichten Teaser-Bilder zeigen eine blaue Lackierung, die an das erste Plus 8-Serienmodell des britischen Karosseriebauers (bekannt als MMC11) erinnert, mit einem Hauch von handgemalten gelben Akzenten rund um den ikonischen K\u00fchlergrill des Fahrzeugs, entlang der Motorhaube und an den hinteren Abschlepp\u00f6sen.<\/p>\n

Der Morgan Plus 8 wurde auf der Rennstrecke geboren und ist eine besondere Kombination aus Handwerkskunst, Luxus und Technologie. Ein leichtes Aluminiumchassis und ein 4,8-Liter-BMW-Motor sitzen unter der traditionellen Morgan-Karosserie. Mit einem Gewicht von nur 1.100 kg ist der Plus 8 einer der leichtesten V8-Personenwagen der Welt und erreicht eine Geschwindigkeit von 0-62 mph in 4,5 Sekunden sowie eine H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit von 155 mph.<\/p>\n

Der von Peter Morgan entworfene, aufsehenerregende Prototyp des Plus 8 wurde 1968 auf der Earls Court Motor Show der \u00d6ffentlichkeit vorgestellt. In dieser Zeit wurden etwa 6.000 Plus 8 produziert, bis das Fahrzeug 2004 mit der Einstellung der Produktion des Rover V8-Motors auslief.<\/p>\n

Im Jahr 2012 wurde der Plus 8 auf einem leichten Aluminiumchassis mit dem leistungsstarken 4,8-Liter-BMW-Motor, der auch in der Aero-Baureihe verwendet wird, wieder in die Morgan-Palette aufgenommen. Mit einer neu gestalteten Karosserie war der neue Plus 8 proportional gr\u00f6\u00dfer und deutlich schneller als jeder \"klassische\" Morgan vor ihm.
