Silverstone-Klassiker<\/h5>\n

An diesem Wochenende\u00a0Silverstone-Klassiker<\/a>Mountune Racing kehrt an den Ort zur\u00fcck, an dem Rob Gravetts Sierra Cosworth RS500 im Grand-Prix-Support-Rennen 1990 den ber\u00fchmten Sieg \u00fcber das von Andy Rouse Engineering eingesetzte Schwesterauto errang. Dieses Mal jedoch, Mountune<\/a>\u00a0wird mit dem von Kaliber gesponserten Ex-Rouse-Auto arbeiten, das von Julian Thomas in der JET Super Touring Car Trophy gefahren wird.<\/p>\n

Moderne Managementsysteme und verfeinerte Innereien wie Nockenwellen, Kolben, Pleuel und eine mehrlagige Stahlkopfdichtung sorgen daf\u00fcr, dass die YB-Motoren von heute deutlich mehr leisten k\u00f6nnen als ihre Vorg\u00e4nger. Mountune setzt einen reduzierten Ladedruck ein, um eine Leistung von 550 PS zu erreichen, \u00e4hnlich der Leistung von 1990.<\/p>\n

David Mountain kommentierte: \"Es ist schon ein seltsames Gef\u00fchl, mit dem alten Rivalen zu arbeiten! Die Silverstone Classic ist ein echtes Fest des historischen Motorsports. Aber der Druck, den wir 1990 hatten, ist nicht mehr so gro\u00df. Man vergisst leicht, wie hart es damals war. Das Tempo der Entwicklung war unglaublich und wir hatten es mit einigen wirklich starken Teams zu tun. Es w\u00e4re gro\u00dfartig, einen Sieg des Kaliber-Autos bei der Silverstone Classic zu sehen. Nach all diesen Jahren wird es nun von Mountune angetrieben.\"\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Neben David gibt es sechs aktuelle mountune-Mitarbeiter, die w\u00e4hrend des Titelkampfes 1990 im Unternehmen waren.<\/p>\n

In den letzten Jahren ist die Nachfrage nach den YB-Motoren von Mountune deutlich gestiegen. Dies spiegelt sowohl die steigende Popularit\u00e4t des klassischen Motorsports als auch die Anerkennung des Wertes der 30-j\u00e4hrigen Erfahrung des Unternehmens mit dieser Konstruktion wider. Seit seiner Einf\u00fchrung haben \u00fcber 500 YBs die Mountune-Rennwerkstatt durchlaufen. Mountune ist auch heute noch in der BTCC mit Ford aktiv und setzt seine jahrzehntelange Erfahrung mit modernster Technologie ein.<\/p>\n

Die Silverstone Classic ist heute eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften Veranstaltungen im Motorsportkalender. Sie findet neben den Spitzenrennen statt. Sie dient auch als Erinnerung an eine Zeit, in der das Leben etwas entspannter war.<\/p>\n

Die Silverstone Classic findet vom 20.th<\/sup>-22und<\/sup>Juli auf dem Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.<\/p>\n
