Classic Car PR – In Classic Car PR News, the 19th Goodwood Revival is fast approaching and Credit Suisse has revealed a series of engaging media opportunities for all Goodwood-accredited journalists and photographers.

Credit Suisse Race Control will be open to the press on Friday, and we invite you to join us on the roof terrace of the building to watch the new Kinrara Trophy race. The flag drops at 6:45 p.m. and we will be serving refreshments and snacks as the sun sets and dusk falls over the race. The Goodwood circuit at night provides a spectacle not to be missed, and offers a great way to start your Revival weekend.

On Saturday morning, from 8:30 a.m., members of the press are invited back to Race Control for a Media Breakfast, before the much-anticipated 8th Credit Suisse Historic Racing Forum takes place at 9 a.m.

Debating the topic of ‘Closed Cockpit versus Single Seaters: The Path to Motorsport Glory’ will be British racing legend Sir Stirling Moss OBE, Grand Prix and Le Mans winner Jochen Mass and five-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Derek Bell MBE. They will be joined at Credit Suisse Race Control by three-time Indianapolis 500 winner, Dario Franchitti MBE, Le Mans winner and former Formula One racer, David Brabham, and TV presenter and World Sportscar Championship race winner Alain de Cadenet.

Motorsport writer and broadcaster, Henry Hope-Frost, will once again moderate the Forum, which will be followed by a short photocall of all panelists.

At 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Credit Suisse will join Goodwood Revival’s celebrations of Sir Jack Brabham, in honor of the 50th anniversary of when he became the only driver in Formula One history to win the World Championship in a car bearing his name. In a special media moment on the lawns adjacent to Race Control, Lord March and Karsten Le Blanc will present Sir Jack’s son, David, with a model of the car in which he won, the Brabham BT19.

Finally, Credit Suisse will once again be inviting Goodwood-accredited photographers and media at this year’s event to take part in its popular Photo Contest. Prizes will be given for the best image submitted for each of the categories, with a trophy also being awarded to the overall winner, as chosen by long-standing photographer and Goodwood Estate owner, Lord March.

The Credit Suisse Photo Contest categories for Goodwood Revival are:

  • Action
  • Atmosphere (including paddocks)
  • Credit Suisse Media Moments
