Classic Car PR – In classic car PR news, The Confused.com London Motor Show is delighted to announce Jaguar E-Type specialist Eagle as the latest company confirmed for the Built in Britain feature at this year’s eagerly anticipated event.
Built in Britain celebrates the very best of the British automotive industry, with renowned marques from the UK showing off their creations that have been designed and manufactured on these shores.
Founded in 1984, Eagle is recognised worldwide as one of the leading E-Type restorers, famed for its special evolutions of the legendary Jaguar – notably the globally celebrated Speedster, Low Drag GT and Spyder GT models.
On top of this, Eagle restores bespoke ‘zero mile, better than new’ Jaguar E-Types (endearingly known as Eagle E-Types) with unique upgrades depending on customer preference. The company will be showcasing the best of both worlds at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre this May.
Eagle will head to the capital armed with its unique Speedster E-Type as well as a regular E-Type Coupe to show the tens of thousands of visitors exactly why it has earned such a sterling reputation as one of the very best in the business.
The Speedster is the ultimate evolution of the open-top E-Type, restyled to purify the detail and emphasise the original legendary design that Enzo Ferrari famously labelled the most beautiful in the world.
The car offers a unique combination of original classic charm and contemporary supercar performance thanks to its 4.7-litre engine, and the car at the Built in Britain feature will be the same model that appeared on BBC’s TopGear with Jeremy Clarkson. Just six Speedsters currently exist anywhere in the world.
Alongside it will be Eagle E-Type no. 31 – a stunning and everyday usable high-performance 1966 E-Type Coupe. Built to Eagle’s GT spec, the car was restored without compromise and features recirculating air conditioning, speed-sensitive power steering and reclining seats for the ultimate driving experience.
Alec Mumford, Chairman of The Confused.com London Motor Show, commented: “Eagle is truly the pinnacle of Jaguar E-Type restoration, and we are absolutely delighted to have them heading to the Built in Britain feature to showcase their stunning creations. Eagle has earned praise from some of the highest figures in the automotive industry for its E-Type work, and we can’t wait to have this shared with our visitors alongside fellow British powerhouses.”
Tickets start at just £18.50 and one child (under 17) goes free with a paying adult. They’re on general sale now and available to purchase at thelondonmotorshow.co.uk.
