Automotive PR – In automotive PR news, H.R. Owen teamed up with children’s hospice charity Shooting Star Chase to give terminally ill children and their families the perfect day out and a well-deserved break.

Using its position as the UK’s leading luxury dealer group, H.R. Owen was able to present the Bentley lifestyle in all its glory to those who deserve it most.

Bentley Surrey deployed eight brand new Bentayga SUVs to the charity’s two hospices – Shooting Star House in Hampton and Christopher’s in Guidlford – before H.R. Owen chauffeurs whisked families away in luxury for a relaxing and fun-filled day.

After touring around the picturesque roads of Surrey, drivers headed to The Medicine Gardens in Cobham to enjoy afternoon tea in stunning surroundings. The Medicine Gardens is a former Victorian hothouse that’s been restored and transformed into a hidden haven of tranquility, purity and health.

The site’s main garden features eight cornerstones of ‘good medicine’, comprising Nourishment, Flow, Courage, Vitality, Inspiration, Stillness, Wonder and Focus, and the eight Bentaygas took pride of place on each section throughout the afternoon.

Shooting Star Chase and The Medicine Gardens then arranged afternoon tea for the supported families overlooking the Bentleys, with luxury sandwiches, cakes and beverages.

After hosting an enjoyable day out, H.R. Owen drivers once again loaded up the Bentleys and returned their guests home with souvenirs and lasting memories of the experience.

H.R. Owen always strives to give back to the community and present opportunities to those in difficult circumstances, and Bentley Surrey’s unique day out for the children

Peter Matthews, Bentley Surrey Brand Ambassador, said: “It was nothing but an honour for us at Bentley Surrey and H.R. Owen to spend the day with these incredibly brave children and their amazing families. Seeing their eyes light up when they first sat in the Bentaygas was a sight to behold – they loved having a luxury experience that they are so rarely able to enjoy. The admirable work that Shooting Star Chase does means the world to these inspirational children and we were over the moon to play a big part in it.”

Karen Sugarman, Director of Fundraising at Shooting Star Chase, added: “We are hugely grateful to H.R. Owen Bentley and the Medicine Garden for showing such kindness and generosity to the families we support. The children, siblings and parents had a truly wonderful afternoon travelling through Surrey in such style and luxury, and being treated to delicious afternoon tea in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The families Shooting Star Chase care for endure unimaginable circumstances, and we know a break like this means the world to them.”
