As well as feasting their eyes on some of the world’s rarest and most prestigious historic automobiles, visitors to Classic & Sports Car – The London Show can look forward to hearing engaging stories from some of the industry’s most famous faces.
The show’s Live Stage, in partnership with Smooth Radio, will play host to a line-up of stars from the worlds of motoring and motorsport, who will be interviewed in front of a live audience over the course of the event at Alexandra Palace from October 30th to November 1st.
Guests already confirmed for the Live Stage include Ross Brawn OBE, one of Britain’s most successful motorsport engineers and former technical director of the championship-winning Benetton and Ferrari Formula One™ teams. As owner of Brawn GP, his team won both the Formula One™ Constructors and Drivers’ Championships in 2009 while he went on to a highly successful career as Team Principal at Mercedes before retiring in 2014.
Also confirmed for the Live Stage are Ant Anstead, presenter of hit Channel 4 TV show For The Love Of Cars and Chris Routledge, Coys auctioneer and presenter of Channel 5’s The Classic Car Show. Other guests include Sir John Egan, who was chief executive of Jaguar Cars from 1984 to 1990 and is widely regarded as the man who turned the brand’s fortunes around, and Paul Michaels, chairman of Hexagon Classics, who ran the successful Hexagon privateer Formula One™ team in the early Seventies. The stage will also include appearances from ex-Top Gear presenter Chris Goffey, Tom and Henry Mann of Alan Mann Racing and ex-F1 driver, David Brabham.
Broadcaster Henry Hope-Frost will compere the Live Stage. Many more famous names will be announced over the coming weeks.
In addition to the Live Stage, visitors to Classic & Sports Car – The London Show can look forward to learning which car has been voted the Best British Car Ever, with a special central feature dedicated to a top ten of iconic British classics including the Jaguar E-type, McLaren F1 and Bentley Speed Six to name just three.
The event will also pay homage to Aston Martin, featuring the oldest-surviving Aston Martin, ‘A3’, which will be joined by a selection of the most-famous examples from the British brand. In all, more than 300 prestigious cars will be on display at Alexandra Palace from world-famous collectors and world-renowned classic car retailers.
