Automotive PR  – In automotive pr news, William Medcalf Vintage Bentley is gearing up to make a big contribution to The London Classic Car Show 2017, which takes centre stage at the ExCeL London from 23-26 February.

The West Sussex workshop and showroom is recognised worldwide as the leading name in classic car ownership and the very home of the vintage Bentley; and as it’s such an authority in the Bentley world, it’s been invited to support the event in two show displays.

For the highly anticipated Endurance Rally Association (ERA) stand, William Medcalf Vintage Bentley is providing an incredibly rare and spectacular Bentley Supersports car.

Carrying on the legacy of one of W.O. Bentley’s most potent 3 Litre creations – which originally came with a written guarantee of hitting 100mph – William Medcalf’s development of the Supersports model has been tuned to provide the very best yet most reliable rally performance possible.

From the gearbox and clutch to the differential and suspension, no detail is overlooked in the rebuild of this rapid but hugely dependable rally car.

The Supersports that’s set to wow show-goers at the ExCeL is the fourth of only 18 models manufactured worldwide and is something of a star on the endurance rally circuit, too.

In the 2016 Rally of the Incas, the Supersports raced to an impressive third place despite being the oldest car in the field. Now, having just returned to the UK, the 1925 model will be on display for all to see on the ERA stage.

The London Classic Car Show is the premier event on the historic motoring calendar that has been an overwhelming success since its inaugural outing in 2015. The show attracts over 33,000 classic car enthusiasts from around the globe and some of the biggest names in the industry.

This year’s edition will see legendary Le Mans pairing Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell reunite 35 years after their last victory at the 24 hours race on stage, where they’ll discuss their fantastic racing history. Also taking up a hot seat at The London Classic Car Show will be William Medcalf himself.

William will sit alongside Rod Parkin (President, FIA Historic Rally Sub Commission), Fred Gallagher (Endurance Rally Association), Richard Tuthill (Tuthill Porsche) and Adrian Kermode (Corkills Motorsport) on the Landscape of Historic Rallying panel talking all things racing and rally preparation.

The segment runs from 12pm – 1pm on Friday 24 February and is sure to attract a massive crowd as William taps into his extensive rally knowledge alongside like-minded industry heavyweights.

William Medcalf said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be invited to sit on the panel in The London Classic Car Show – an incredibly exciting event attended by tens of thousands of historic motoring enthusiasts. Our development work on the Supersports models epitomises why we’re the leading name in rally preparation, and showcasing exactly what we’re capable of will be excellent. I’m truly honoured to be on the Landscape of Historic Rallying panel on Friday alongside some big names. Chewing the fat with such personalities about rallying will certainly be something to behold!”
