(London – November 13th)
Hexagon, London’s sole Lotus dealer, is very proud to be supporting Lotus Cars at the Salon QP Fine Watch Exhibition this weekend.
Lotus is the only car brand at the event, which is held at the Saatchi Gallery until Sunday 14th November, and will be displaying two of its high-performance, handbuilt sports cars, the Evora 400 and Exige Club Racer.
Accompanying the Evora 400 and Exige Club Racer – which has been supplied by Hexagon – in the Saatchi Gallery are a selection of pictures showing some of the handbuilt details of the Lotus car manufacturing process.
The pictures give an insight into the assembly process and the human touch behind every Lotus at the company’s headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hethel, Norfolk.
Jean-Marc Gales, Chief Executive Officer for Group Lotus plc, said: “We are delighted to be an official partner to Salon QP this year and to showcase two of our handbuilt sports car to an audience appreciative of fine design.
“Every car we produce is bespoke to each customer’s requirements, whether it is the hand-spray painted lightweight body or the craftsmen and women who stitch together high quality Scottish leather for the interior, each stage of the manufacturing process is a perfect example of passion and commitment.”
Hexagon chairman, Paul Michaels said: “We are delighted to be supporting Lotus Cars at Salon QP. As London’s only Lotus dealer, we know that the range offers exquisite attention to detail, from the construction under the skin to the quality of the cabin. You can really tell that each car is built to order.
“Salon QP truly celebrates craftsmanship and bespoke detailing – particularly from world-famous British watchmakers – and is a perfect fit for Lotus Cars. We are very proud to be supporting Lotus by supplying an Exige Club Racer from Hexagon’s showroom.”
Hexagon recently announced a partnership with Lotus to sell its full range of models, making it the only Lotus dealer inside the M25. The move rekindles an historic relationship: Hexagon was a Lotus dealer between 1964 and 1976.
It also brings Lotus ‘home’ to north London: Hexagon’s headquarters in Fortis Green, East Finchley – where it will offer Lotus servicing and aftercare – is just a stone’s throw from Lotus’ original base of Hornsey, where Colin Chapman and his team built and sold the first models in the 1950s.
